Taxi drivers in Leicester have been receiving Islamophobic abuse following the Manchester bombings, a cab firm boss has said. Satbir Gill, who runs Hansom Taxis in London Road, says two of his staff have been sworn at and blamed for the terrorist attack at the Manchester Arena on May 22 while driving round the city in the following days. The incidents involved other motorists launching a volley of abuse in road rage-style incidents.
Mr Gill said a female employee was targeted when she was driving wearing a hijab, a Muslim headdress.
