Questionnaire on the religious practice of Muslim students provokes a scandal

The University of Cergy-Pontoise (Paris region) aroused the excitement, after an internal questionnaire, questioning the practice of Muslim students and for the fight against terrorism was made public on social networks.
The establishment apologized in a statement, and was forced to remove the questionnaire from circulation.
The incriminated document raises various questions related to the religious practice of Muslim students.
Among the topics addressed in the internal note of the university, we find “absenteeism on Friday or at prayer time”, “the appearance of the wearing of a veil”, “sudden cessation of consumption of meat from pork “or” stopping the consumption of alcohol “.
Clément Carbonnier, professor at the university, made the document public via his Twitter account.
“The University of Cergy-Pontoise provides me with a form to trace the weak signals” of radicalization, he explained before stating that he was “ashamed” that such a document could exist.
“The university deeply regrets having been able to hit or shock some people,” says the writing.
The Minister of Higher Education and Research Frédérique Vidal has also reacted on social networks by saying that it “disapproves of the record of raising weak signals” published by the University of Cergy-Pontoise.
“If the fight against radicalization calls the vigilance of everyone, this fight will never win if it is based on prejudice and caricatures,” she warned.
