According to Benjamin Ntabundi, coordinator of the Collectief, the explanation of the increasing number of deaths is very simple: there are just more and more homeless people. “Since 2005, the number of homeless people has almost doubled. In addition, there are not enough places to shelter them, so many stay on the street,” he added.
