The German police on Thursday raided a mosque in Berlin in search of Anis Amri, who is suspected of killing 12 people on Monday when he drove his truck into a crowded Christmas market in the city. Entire sections of Berlin have been closed down due to the police activity there. Local media reports that a shopping center has been evacuated and passengers were taken off of trains and trams.
The 24-year-old Tunisian-born Amri reportedly used at least six different identities during his stay in Germany. He has previously served four years in prison in Italy for his involvement in an arson attack on a school.
