In Dakar, the capital of Senegal, the French-based European Institute of Business (IEA) banned the prayer at the school building.
Former Parliamentary Group President Moustapha Diakhate of the ruling coalition shared the circular issued by the school in his social media account.
This circular states that in the principle of “secularism” in the school’s bylaws is forbidden to pray at school boundaries.
Diakhate shared that, unlike France, there is no law in Senegal that prohibits prayers in public or private schools.
