Israeli Police Assault, Arrest 4 Palestinians at Al-Aqsa, Soldiers Detain 3 Overnight

Dozens of Israeli police, on Sunday, assaulted a number of Palestinian Muslim worshipers performing Eid al-Fitr prayers at Bab al-Asbat or Lion’s Gate, leading to the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem, southern West Bank.
Palestinian Muslims joined at the gate of the mosque to perform prayers for Eid al-Fitr, at the end of the holy month of Ramadan, Palestinian WAFA News Agency reported.
The mosque had been closed for the entire 30 days of Ramadan, and only the Waqf appointed guards and employees were able to perform the Eid prayer inside the holy compound.
On video, police are seen assaulting a number of unarmed Palestinian civilians, causing many bruises among the victims, one Israeli officer is seen hitting the Palestinian worshiper with his rifle.
One video shows an elderly Palestinian man being carried by 4 Israeli police, by his arms and legs, no serious injuries were reported at the time of writing this report.
Four worshipers were arrested after being assaulted by Israeli police, according to Quds News Network (QNN).
QNN further reported that Israeli forces, overnight Saturday, assaulted and arrested Shadi Sider from Hebron and Muhammad Ja’barai from the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.
Israeli troops also detained Oqbah Mousa, 26 at a military checkpoint in Bethlehem, southern West Bank.
