Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children 2018 report published. The initiative works to end violence against children through universal prohibition and elimination of all corporal punishment – the most pervasive and accepted form of violence against children.
It covers the violent practices that violate the immunity of the child’s body. The report draws attention to children’s right to education without violence. It is an urgent necessity that bodily punishments are prohibited in all schools.
According to the report, corporal punishment in the world is completely prohibited in 54 states, 56 states have commıtted to prohıbıtıng all corporal punıshment, 131 states have prohıbıted corporal punıshment ın all schools, 97 recommendatıons on corporal punıshment made under the upr ın 2018, 38 of these recommendatıons have been supported by the state so far, 460 recommendatıons have been made to date to states revıewed under the UN CRC.
