Israeli forces detain 14 Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem, West Bank

Israeli forces today detained 14 Palestinians from various parts of occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank, said local sources.
Sources confirmed that Israeli police rounded up five Palestinians after ransacking their houses in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of al-Tur.
Police also assaulted and detained two brothers who came to the Russian Compound detention center in West Jerusalem to check on their brother who was detained during the raid in al-Tur.
In Ramallah and al-Bireh district, Israeli military vehicles raided Bittin village, east of Ramallah city, where soldiers detained two men.
Soldiers carried out a similar raid in Kobar village, north of Ramallah, resulting in the detention of another Palestinian.
In Salfit district in the north of the West Bank, a resident of al-Zawiya village was detained as he attempted to cross a military checkpoint near Qarawet Bani-Hassan village, west of Salfit. Soldiers broke into and thoroughly searched the detainee’s house in a raid of the village.
In Nablus district, also in the north of the West Bank, local sources said an Israeli military raid into Burqa village, northwest of the city, resulted in the detention of one person.
Meanwhile, Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS) confirmed two separate military raids in Nur Shams refugee camp and Anabta town, east of Tulkarm city, resulting in the detention of two others.
