Israeli forces storm orphanage for 5th time, arrest students accused of throwing stones

Israeli forces yesterday arrested a Palestinian teenager following a raid on a school for orphans in the Old City of Jerusalem.
Seventeen-year-old Maaz Khalil was arrested after the school was raided for the fifth time in ten days. He had been interrogated after being accused of throwing stones at occupation forces.
The school’s administrative board evacuated the school before the end of the day to prevent any clashes with Israeli forces, sources said.
On Monday, Israeli forces detained the Director of the Palestinian Ministry of Education Samir Jibril, who is responsible for all schools in occupied East Jerusalem, along with 10 students. Their detention has been extended until Friday.
Israeli police said in a statement that the students were accused of throwing stones and bottles at Israeli soldiers in Al-Wad Street near Al-Majlis gate of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
